So I wandered briefly, but on the first night I was very tired, but I was trying to stay up a little bit.
M
7:38MikeHOST
I don't know why, because given the amount of time I was there, it doesn't really matter how long, like what I saw or what I did or if I got acclimated to the time zone.
M
7:49MikeHOST
But I went to the Green Carnation pre-party, which was very awkward for me.
T
7:55TimHOST
I think it was awkward for everyone based on green carnation fans.

Is the task I've been assigned I am not judging Therefore I am a trusted friend I am debated At times referred I will ask why Some will get away With every bison cold I will comply But given time I will ask why I don't embrace, I don't know how The time I will ask why

From Norway, Green Carnation, off their latest album, A Dark Poem, Part 3, The Messiah Complex, and that was unconditional artificial chemistry.
S

These bands do like to put my tongue through some workouts, I have to say.

The sign that suffers is due to rejection A mind that thinks of its own Judgements upon you, the kingdom of heaven Is found at the stairs of the church Listen Messiah, for love only human I march for a chair by the throne And you know the words, you're lying

Titled A Dark Poem, Part 3, The Messiah Complex, which follows the album released earlier this year, A Dark Poem Part 2, Sangris, the killer album that was released last year, 2025, by Green Carnation, A Dark Poem Part 1, The Shores of Melancholia, and 2025 was the... first installment of this three-part series and I think this album is an excellent follow-up to the first two in the series playing just right in and they they play as like one long album it's a three-part series why wouldn't it and this was a bit softer than I initially expected and a bit doomier, but I really enjoyed these softer tones.
S
24:59speaker_0HOST
This wasn't as shreddy.
S
25:01speaker_0HOST
I expected this to be somewhat heavier, but I thought there was a lot more grooves than I initially expected.

T
59:28TonyHOST
uh this particular uh series of albums has incredible artwork as well i will probably post some of that um and uh yeah it's it's just honestly if you like melodic metal um you know in the vein of i always associate these guys with um bands like iotan um uh excuse me bands like opeth um even late dark tranquility is very progressive so uh if you like just really great bombastic progressive you know kind of flirting with death metal type of of music this is a really good one uh this is
