Green Bay Area Public School District

Mo, thank you so much for taking time to chat with us today about a very important topic.

We just talked about the Green Bay Area Public School District in Wisconsin, where a year ago regular backpacks were banned there after a handgun was found in a student's backpack, and they have not put any other security measures in place, but they are continuing with this clear backpack policy.

This is something that you all look at closely as many schools around the country are thinking about this or have it in place.

What kind of evidence is there for the effectiveness of clear backpacks being used in schools?

Hi, I'm Shane McDonough.

I am employed by the Green Bay Area Public School District as a special education teacher.

of decades ago, Shane didn't think he'd be a teacher.
