But to me, this issue turned a corner from J. Jonah Jameson-style bluster and lovable irritability to just straight-up unlikable sentiment.

He went from being sort of one extreme of a debating double act like you get from a Green Lantern, Green Arrow team up, bringing a different perspective or being a foil and all the way to I'm just done with this guy.

I don't even like him as a foil for someone else to bounce off of.

Yeah, I mean, it's hard to say it's because like in a couple issues, they start revealing more of like who he is on the inside and like it starts to make him more likable.

Yeah, and Flash isn't bad, and plus we'll cover the first volume of Absolute Green Lantern here soon, so.

She's fighting mythical creatures and so forth, and and um oh absolute green arrow is actually almost like a spawn type of figure um yeah yeah so it's totally sideways different it's it's really cool absolute green arrow is badass it's a good book a great art and um but uh they're just better they're just the problem with marvel is is that X-Men is boring as hell now.

What did you anticipate it being going in?

I think part of me is that I expected it to be Oliver Queen and we're told in the book that he's dead and was murdered.

And that whoever this Green Arrow is, is appearing to take vengeance on the trash that killed Queen.

And we don't know who it is yet.

80 pages, all new stories, world's finest comics.

And then we have the headshots of some of the characters who feature in this issue, and they are Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Green Arrow, and the Vigilante, approved, of course, by the Comics Code Authority.

Now, the main image on the cover, of course, is the Superman-Batman story.

Superman has got Bruce Wayne by the lapels.

So that cover is lying, listeners.

That doesn't happen very often.

As you come to expect, the Green Arrow and Black Canary stories follow on from each other and they battle them.
