The Metro Vancouver Regional District is still not releasing details of ousted CAO Jerry Dobrovolny's exit package.

The board chair assured Global News earlier this week those details would be coming, but now says the board cannot release the number.

Details of CAO Jerry Dobrovony's exit from Metro Vancouver Regional District remain hidden from the taxpayer despite a promise from the board chair that transparency was imminent.

Can you share exactly what that severance package is?

It'll be released in a media release today I believe.

But for the most part, tomorrow, we'll see just a bit of cloud cover.

Can you, can you talk about the delinquency side? 'Cause obviously we talk about, okay, well, this has the po- the potential, obviously, to, to create additional job losses.

You know, what I'm seeing in my industry is, is something that I track, uh, internally, is the number of court-ordered listings for sale on the MLS across Metro Vancouver, and it's at all-time highs.

I mean, the, the chart is just, like, hockey stick growth.

Mm-hmm.

Why are they injecting that confusion in?

Well, the, the federal government, uh, we reported it, uh, signed an agreement recently with the Musqueam recognizing the potential of a claim of Aboriginal title over Metro Vancouver.

Uh, there's the, the case out in Port Coquitlam.

There's a First Nation in Kamloops that's claiming all of Kamloops.

That's what the judge says.

But if you quote that passage from the judge, they are not seeking ownership of the property.

She added two words, "For now." And any idea that down the road they might change their mind and try to get clear title to the property in Richmond, she says, "Well, that's speculative." Well, you know, yes, it's speculative, but if I'm buying a piece of property in Metro Vancouver or Kamloops or Port Coquitlam and other places this has happened, uh, you're gonna go, "Well, uh, hmm, you know, yeah, I'm gonna live there.

Okay." Uh, but if you're a developer, you're gonna go, "Am I gonna develop that property and then discover I don't even have title to it down the road?" I mean, I think this is a genuine problem in the province, and Sullivan has really underscored it.

Plus, Friday afternoon, long weekend.

That's when Metro Vancouver announced it was parting ways with the man running the place.
