I actually looked at the data for the entire GTA-

... and it's actually the same.

Yeah.

So new listings for houses and condos across the entire GTA-

There you go

... are pretty much the same this year as they were last year.

And now there's one small hint of good news, and that is that it seems like the listings, which have been piling up and piling up lately, the listings, the new listings have sort of flattened off.

So the listings in August in the greater Toronto area were about the same as the as a year ago.

But the problem is sales are not great.

So sales have not picked up.

So those people that are in the pent-up demand category that RBC is counting on, could very well opt to say, hey, you know what, maybe I'll just rent for another year or two, wait for the market to bottom.

And so that's the problem there.

And then the other thing is, now, sometime in 2027, maybe 2028, the condo market in the Greater Toronto Area is going to stabilize because all of the buildings currently under construction are bringing new units to market.

will have been completed and there's no new buildings under construction and there probably won't be for several years.

Today, Peter is the Assistant Director of the Searcher Group, one of Canada's longest-run paranormal research teams, which was established in 1979.

He also founded Mortal Coil Paranormal, serving the Greater Toronto Area and Southwestern Ontario under the Searcher Group umbrella.

For Peter, paranormal investigation goes beyond simply trying to prove that ghosts exist.

His work explores the history, the people, and the human stories behind reported hauntings, and what those experiences might tell us about the possibility of life beyond physical death.

I think it was 2006. and uh so he

put out a theory that i was like wow this is great you know i think this is somebody who's like

thinking past the old theories that from the 1920s and introducing some new ideas here you know this guy's thinking out of the box so um fortunately he lived in etobicoke i live in the greater toronto area and he lived in etobicoke at the time so i thought i'm going to interview this guy Because he included a piece about Fort George in there because my focus at the time was just Fort George.

I wanted to hear more about his story.

Because Toronto's 2006 Charter permits limited ways to add taxes, but that's unique to the megacity.

Before that, public health units in the Greater Toronto Area were resource starved.

Budgets had been cut, programs had been scaled back, and after 1998, a medical officer of health wasn't just managing disease.

They were also managing a municipal budget, fighting for allocations at city councils, and competing against roads and recreation for a share of property tax funds.
