There's a new temporary exhibit at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville.

Ozarks at Large's Jack Travis takes us on a tour through the world of one of America's first popular folk artists, Grandma Moses.

It starts with an excerpt from a documentary screening in the exhibit featuring the artist herself.

Tomorrow on Ozarks, we bring you stories from two ends of the cultural spectrum.

First, admiring the work and legacy of Grandma Moses.

When the collector who had discovered her, a guy named Louis Calder, tried to get dealers interested in her...

They all said, 79 years old? You know, and I'm gonna waste my time and money promoting this artist, and they're just gonna die, right? And so it was only when he came to Otto Kalier, my grandfather, and his newly established gallery, Saint-Etienne, that my grandfather said, you know, I don't care how old she is, this work looks really, really interesting.

Ozarks at Large's Jack Travis takes us through the new exhibition at Crystal Bridges, Grandma Moses, A Good Day's Work.

It's open to the public through late March.

And then the band The One-Ups will be on stage at the Momentary Sunday.

But at the same time, the dude that is serving beelines it over to us.

The Pizzagalli Center for Art and Education features changing exhibitions.

The Webb Gallery features important American paintings by John Singleton Copley, Andrew Wyeth, Winslow Homer, Grandma Moses.

It is open from May through October.

So it is not open in the winter, but it is open from late spring to early fall.

And, and we see these stories constantly.

Grandma Moses was 80 when she started doing her first paintings.

That maybe a reference-

She was a grandma

She-- Yeah, it was.

It was Grandma Moses.

Exactly.

And I'm like, okay, I'm not that old.

But Grandma Moses, okay.

I found a story of Grandma Moses.

Anna Mary Robertson Moses.

She spent most of her life working on the farm.

So her second life didn't even begin at my age or younger than my age or even 20, 30 years over my age.

It did not properly begin until the 80s.

Grandma Moses went on to become one of America's best known folk artists.
