Grande Fratello

We're reviewing Season 11 as a whole, the good, the bad, and the ugly, and then we're looking at Big Brother Naija as a whole.

We'll be referencing Big Brother UK and Grande Fratello, Big Brother Italy, throughout.

So this isn't just opinion floating in a vacuum.

It's grounded in comparison, not because any of these shows are perfect, but because sometimes you need to look outside your own format to see what could be improved.

The finale became more about officially crowning the person everyone already expected.

This season had actual suspense.

If I'm comparing it to the international shows, that kind of nail-biting unpredictability is something Grande Fratello consistently nails with their head-to-head between their final five on the very last day.

And what that does is force alliances to matter as much as fan bases.

I didn't love that twist.

This show thrives on head-to-head rivalry, and I say that as someone currently watching Big Brother UK and Grande Fratello Big Brother Italy alongside this.

Hearts race harder when it comes down to two people.

Put three on stage, and it gets a little chaotic.

Because we've spent this entire season talking about the housemates, now I want to talk about BBNaija Season 11 as a whole.

What did production get right? What did they get wrong? Why did the drama feel so limited this season? Did the arena and wager tasks become too important? Were the punishments too heavy-handed? Did the casting actually work? And most importantly, what needs to change before we do this all over again? I'll also be bringing something extra to that conversation.

I've been watching Big Brother UK and Grande Fratello, Big Brother Italy, alongside this season, and I'll be putting together a proper comparison.

What those shows are doing differently, what references are worth pulling from them, and the suggestions I think BBNaija genuinely needs to hear.
