In May 2024, a Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted him for the murders of Perry Webster and Speaks.

Three counts of second-degree murder, three counts of second-degree abuse of a corpse, 16 witnesses testified in closed-door sessions.

The indictment came just weeks before Calhoun was scheduled for release from his reinstated prison sentence.

A Jackson County, Mississippi grand jury unanimously finding no criminal wrongdoing in the death of Nolan Wells.

Today, his parents demanding a more thorough investigation.

Nolan deserved to live.

He deserved to be here.

And at the end of the day, there is only one victim, and it is our son, Nolan Xavier Wells.

The grand jury finding Wells' cause of death was undetermined, but consistent with drowning, also saying an injury on the back of Wells' head was not fatal.

The family's attorney wants more information.

In spite of their experience with the discretion of the public prosecutor and the protections afforded by preliminary hearings, it was the grand jury that the colonists looked to for protection from government abuse.

The royal government would later charge him by information.

After 1776, every state except New Jersey provided a right to a grand jury in its constitution, and every state adopted a statute securing the right.

The first one we're going to look at is the state's response to defendant's motion regarding grand jury record and transcript.

The state of Idaho, by and through the Latah County Prosecuting Attorney, and in response to the defendant's motion to make available the record of all proceedings of the grand jury pursuant to I.C.R. 6.2 and motion requesting release of grand jury materials under qualified protective order, respectfully submits the attached proposed order for preparation and release of transcript and record of grand jury proceedings with conditions.

A proposed stipulation for such an order was provided to Defendants Council on May 25th, 2023 and is being reviewed by them.

Before we kick off with clips from today's amazing press conference held by Christine Elmore, Benjamin Crump, and his team, I want to make three key things extremely important that if you take nothing from this video, please take these three key things.

One, there were 132 subpoenas filed 43 witnesses, but only seven people testified in front of the grand jury.

That is one.

Two, both autopsies, Mississippi's and our independent autopsy, has resulted in an undetermined conclusion.

Shout out to Ben, but this lady, I forget her name right now.

She's going to talk about the secrecy of the grand jury.

She's going to talk about how the family had no clue of what was going on.

And died.

And his death has been the source of much, much... manifesting of benjamin crump and the whole racial grievance industrial complex as well as the target of a grand jury indictment and yesterday we got the grand jury's report in this matter specifically with respect to whether certain identified individuals had engaged in nefarious conduct towards nolan wells caused his death or covered up his death or hid evidence or did anything Like that.

Of course, as you can see from the thumbnail, Nolan Wells is black.

Most of the people who are being targeted by rumor and innuendo are white.

Really, all of them are.

Hence the presence of Benjamin Crump in all this, as usual.

And yesterday, the grand jury returned their report and they issued no true bill, meaning no indictment.

The report also includes a scathing, a scathing indictment of Benjamin Crump and the other rumor mongers around this case that have caused so many threats, so much damage to so many people.

Come on.

First meeting, I extended an open offer to provide the grand jury with any evidence whatsoever that the family wanted them to have, including the findings and testimony of their independent medical examiner.

This is not a practice unique to the Nolan Wells case, but this is how I have always conducted business as your prosecutor.

On August 13th, 2026, after the Crump team conducted and released the results of its independent autopsy, and after receiving hundreds of tips, they advised my office that they had no evidence of a crime being committed against Nolan Wells.

Just this weekend, I read where a congresswoman had met with Nolan's family and the Crump team and said that Nolan Wells is another black boy murdered and no one seems to care.

Ma'am, you are wrong.

The Crump team knows this and knows that they are dealing with a district attorney whose unwavering pursuit of the truth gave them all a seat at the table to offer the grand jury any and every piece of evidence they deemed important to this investigation.

Keep in mind that this meeting with the Congresswoman was after the Crump team advised my office they had discovered no evidence of a crime against Nolan.
