And I've always said that about you.

Yes, I love this.

um it's a pretty simple plot um so maybe in some ways they felt like they had to flesh things out or add to it for length i don't i don't know um But I feel like there could be other ways.

I would rather, if you're going to make something up and change it from the book, I would rather have seen more backstory between Grandma and the Grand High Witch of when they did actually interact.

um because in both of these there's the the witch recognizes grandma grandma recognizes which um so we only have the one little story of grandma's friend going missing or being turned into a chicken yeah um but i think there could be more more story there if you want to find something that

It's Angelica Houston.

She's going to become the Grand High Witch.

And she starts to pull her skin off from her hairline.

And it starts to reveal this like, you know, slightly gooey, slightly pockmarked skin underneath.

This is my audition for Absolute Radio.

Okay, you've already had this mentioned on the pod by Kim Newman, no less as your guest, who mentioned Angelica Houston's Grand High Witch in Roald Dahl's The Witches, the film of Roald Dahl's Witches.

And this was in 1990s.

I watched it quite recently.

Because you're in black and there's black lace gloves and there's kind of a pink kind of cape thing billowing out.

I feel like if Marilyn was playing the Grand High Witch.

Okay, yeah.

In The Witches.

I think it's misogyny to say that ugly men make better witches.

The Grand High Witch witchifies herself.

So she's the most beautiful one because it's Angelica Houston, of course.

Yeah.

Well, they just assumed there was no way to turn the boy back.

I assumed if you killed the Grand High Witch...

All her stuff would be undone?

Please

... honestly equally as important I think, and it is the Grand High Witch, played by Anjelica Huston in The Witches-

Hear ye, hear ye

... based on-

And-

And who else is on your list, my dear?

Who else was on my list? Oh, well, I'm not ready to give up the other three, which is the Blair Witch, Wicked Witch of the West, and Grand High Witch.

I, I, and I agree.
