Well, the Taino Beach Bridge in Grand Bahama is set for a major overhaul, with reconstruction expected to begin this month and be completed by June next year.

The bridge spans Bell Channel, connecting the Lukaya and Taino Beach areas, a popular destination for residents and tourists.

Lukaya Service Company Limited and Tamron Development Company have awarded the reconstruction contract to BHM Grand Bahama Limited.

The project includes a new concrete bridge deck, improved traffic barriers and five-foot sidewalks on both sides.

The existing support structures will be preserved while motorists continue using the temporary causeway during construction.
