How far advanced are you into filling those roles or do you see a world where you may not fill those roles?

No, we will.

We are still, I suppose, working through whether we have someone who comes in and does list management and recruiting, or do we actually split the roles? And I think we've been on record saying that that won't happen in this trade draft period.

We're really comfortable that we've got the guys across a draft from a draft perspective, and we feel that's the main part of it.

And then CD, as you know, Ken, has played a role with Cripper, with you guys, and And with my experience in it, we're comfortable that we can get through this trade period and be quite active.

But we'll look to do something post the draft.

What do you think can be done to rejuvenate the industry?

Yeah, well, it's, it's a big one.

Um, you know, really, the industry thrived in the days of, um, in a way, protectionism, you know, like the, in the mar- marketing board era.

You know, 'cause marketing was actually organized and controlled, so they could, in a way, dictate, dictate the price to the, um, you know, to the market.

Whereas since, you know, deregulation in the early '90s, it's just been, you know, free market, so you're competing with countries that can produce peanuts a lot cheaper than we can, and now we're directly importing cheap peanuts.

The cheap import, um, you know, is a major problem, but, you know, I'd argue, and it was in the talk there earlier, um, we were still competitive with, with cheap imports from, you know, the '90s to 2009.

You know, so, you know, the, the business model that we've used subsequent to that has, um, not been successful, you know, and it's created, um, you know, the retailers, uh, it's so much easier for them to import those cheap peanuts, you know, where that wasn't the case earlier.

... where-- how do you feel it's, it's sitting now?

Taking breaks is not a new idea.

The fishery was closed in the 90s, mid-90s for three years, 93, 4, 5 or something.

When I started in 96 after the shutdown, the fishery rebuilt incredibly strongly.

We know we're not recruitment limited.

At the moment we're seeing huge amounts of juvenile oysters and we're not seeing any disease.

So we've come off the back of four years of disease and this year we're not seeing it.

So we do a lot of work testing, monitoring.
