There's a book called How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix.

I'm very curious what you would think about it.

So I stumbled back into horror or into horror for the first time really genuinely as a reader probably two years ago.

And my favorite thing about it, coming right into the genre, I read My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix.

which had been someone was like, if you like Stranger Things, you should read My Best Friend's Exorcism because it's got that same 80s nostalgic vibe.

And I was like, I don't know, I guess I'll try it.

Um, so this is based on a novel by Andrew Niederman who wrote many horror novels.

I believe he's in the, uh, paperbacks from hell extended universe that Grady Hendrix gives us.

Um, uh, The

most important thing about its pedigree is that it's produced by Pierre David, who is one of the single most important Canadian genre producers of all time.

And so even though like, I think if you compare it to like, you know, everything that exists you know it probably doesn't hold up amazingly um like I have all of these very like kind of like fond or like at least very intense memories associated with Amityville um because like you know as if it's the first war you've ever read wow is it you know and if you and if you've got a priest telling you it's real um you know it's really fun um Otherwise, probably my favorite like pop culture haunted house book is I'm a big horror comedy fan.

And I'm a big Grady Hendrix fan.

So it's got to be how to sell a haunted house.

I really think like the source of the haunting and how to sell a haunted house.

I thought it was really freaky.

The eyeball scene in particular, very freaky.

But true to Grady Hendrix's form, it had a really strong beating heart.

And it was a fun read and, you know, a fun like, you know, it's 11 p.m. You're very tired.

Love that.

So this is called My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix.

Grady Hendrix is known as like a spooky kind of witchy author.

I bought this in Salem on my 40th birthday trip like four years ago.

And I haven't read it.

He's like, oh my God, it's so good.

And then we talked about the author's other books.

And this was one of his favorites of Grady Hendrix.
