Graceling

But anything Robin McKinley, uh, nothing too advanced, uh, content, uh, sort of warning-wise, and these are just, like, really, really good books.

And then last not least, and these are definitely more in the YA, for mature readers, um, Kristin Cashore's books, Graceling, Fire, Bitterblue.

Um, these are about...

I mean, stop me if you've heard me, heard this before.

She has to chase down what it is, and it sort of unravels all of these lies inside of the kingdom.

Um, and then Fire and Bitterblue, and there's a couple more in the series that are all about different, um, people.

But Graceling's the first one.

Fire, Bitterblue, Kristin Cashore, incredible books.

Have you heard of these? Have you heard of

Graceling? I haven't.

So the Graceling realm starts with Graceling.

And then there's a prequel story called Fire.

And then there's a sequel called Bitter Blue.

Like, I own Winter Keep.

I think I own Sea Raven as well.

But Fire, like, I enjoyed Graceling.

What was your childhood fantasy fave? Well, again, I don't want to sound like a broken record, so I'm going to go with something I haven't spoken about on the pod before.

Graceling.

Was it Kirsten Cashore? Kirsten

Cashore? Also a fantastic book.

you absolutely should and then you should read Fire.

I haven't

read it because I didn't want anything to mar Graceling.

No, it's

... and I felt like that got in my, my feels.

And then as I got older, then like of course when like Hunger Games came out and Maze Runner and oh gosh, I really loved Graceling, like fantasy.

That really got me into fantasy, by Kristin Cashore, I think her, is how you say her name.

So yeah, I, and I just really fell hard for fantasy.
