Goyang

But I, I had a look at some of the cities that were of similar size to Gwangju, but who already have teams and who, and who don't.

In the top 11, there's only Goyang that doesn't have a, a team, and we know what happened the last time Goyang had a team there.

Yeah.

It, it was obviously a bit of a failure.

But yeah, like you said, if there's no space for them, where do you put them?

Yeah.

Uh, actually Goyang wouldn't... [chuckles] Oh, I mean, that stadium is, would be a problem, but Goyang as a, as a city actually wouldn't be too bad, um, because they would be able to, yeah, if they found the right capacity, they, they could draw some people to it, and they haven't got a club like you said.

So could be a good fit there.

BTS just made history, becoming the first pop act ever to gross half a billion dollars on a single tour and only the seventh group of any genre to hit that milestone, with the other six all being legendary rock bands.

The group's massive Arirang World Tour, which kicked off back in April in Goyang, has already crossed the $500 million mark, putting BTS in truly elite touring company.

In August alone, the septet pulled in an incredible $171.7 million from about 800,000 fans, making it the second biggest one-month gross ever recorded, trailing only Beyonce's record from 2023.

That stretch included back-to-back stadium shows across North America, with two massive nights at MetLife Stadium alone bringing in over $32 million.

Despite this setback, Alpha Drive One is pushing forward with their comeback, set to release their second mini album titled Unbreakable, Boy Beast, in the United States on October 2nd.

Get ready for a massive celebration because SBS Gayo Daejeon is turning 30 this year and the network just announced it's going bigger than ever before.

For the first time in the show's history, the year-end festival will run across two full days, happening on December 24th and 25th at Kintex in Ilsan, Goyang City.

This milestone edition promises to look back on three decades of K-pop history, bringing together veteran artists alongside today's biggest global stars for a true celebration of the genre's evolution.

Yes, yeah.

Like when the tour just started in Goyang.

Oh, in Netflix.

Yeah, the Netflix special.

The two even shared an impromptu live rendition of C-Reel's classic hit, Love's Greeting, blending Kahn's soulful violin with Nam Gyuri's warm vocals in what fans are calling a stunning waiting room performance.

Beyond the emotional moment, Nam Gyuri is clearly having a big year, recently hitting 100,000 subscribers on her channel, wrapping up a stint as special DJ on MBC FM's Noon's Hope Song, and gearing up to hit the stage in Goyang, Cheongju, Suwon, and Incheon as Serial celebrates its 20th debut anniversary with The Fan Tour.

CN Blue's Kang Min-hyuk, a lifelong Kia Tigers fan since his kindergarten days, is heading back to the mound as he's been tapped to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Kia Tigers versus KT Wiz game on October 1st at Gwangju Kia Champions Field.

This marks his second time taking on the honour, following his debut first pitch back in September of 2023 against the LG Twins.

Industry tracking service Pollstar released its third quarter report on cumulative ticket sales, and BTS's world tour, Ére Whang, has claimed the top spot with an incredible $465.8 million in earnings, which comes out to around 637 billion won.

That massive haul came from just 38 shows across cities like Goyang, Tokyo, Tampa, Mexico City, San Francisco, Busan, Madrid, and London, drawing in over 2.3 million fans in total.

What's truly wild is that BTS surpassed Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour earnings from last year in just about four months of touring, with Las Vegas emerging as the top-selling city, thanks to four sold-out shows at Allegiant Stadium.

That alone brought in over $66 million.
