Gorilla Biscuits.

All right, Government Issue.

This is probably the easiest one here.

The government issue is one of the worst goes in the tournament, if not the worst.

And the Gorilla Biscuits, one of the most iconic.

Awesome.

yeah this is from way back and when i was in beyond uh we went to buffalo with gorilla biscuits i believe and we played someplace i can't remember the name of the place but it was like maybe the fourth or fifth time i had played a show and there was this really beautiful girl there which is really weird to see at a hardcore show it was a

bad show

Oh, let me see.

Pretty

good memory.

She had like a hibiscus flower in her hair at a Gorilla Biscuits show.

Yeah.

And so he popped in.

I think he had I want to say side by side, he had of course, Gorilla Biscuits.

I had already listened to Youth Today prior to that, but Gorilla Biscuits hit me.

And so, you know, then obviously most of my love for hardcore and then just looking into bands like Avail and all that other stuff.

That's pretty much where it was kind of going.

I love

them all, but I'd go for one only.

I've famously become a naysayer for Gorilla Biscuits, not because it's bad, not because I never liked it.

We don't agree on a lot of stuff actually, but ACDC we all agree on.

And when we did our first demo, we started out and we wanted to sound like Gorilla Biscuits or Youth of Today or something.

We wanted to be a straight up hardcore band.

And we got a really good guitar player, For the first demo, he's not in the band anymore, but he was like one of those technical, really good guitar players.

Nice.

So my experience with Don Fury is his time and his resume where he's got Agnostic Front and Gorilla Biscuits.

And obviously, you guys were a very different musical animal for him to put up with.

So Lucky, what was it like bringing the enormous ensemble into his studio?

making this, like... incredible music with the equipment that he has.

It's like Rush concepts and ideas, but Gorilla Biscuits in its execution.

And I think he did that so well.

And that's the sort of thing that should be held in such high regard because he could have gone into a studio and all these layers and all these different musicians and all this kind of shit, but it was all just up here in his mind and it was put down in a way that is uniquely Bathory.
