Gordon Kennedy

It is written and directed by Elliot Goldner, his directorial debut.

Uh, and it stars Gordon Kennedy, Aidan McArdle, Robin Hill, Luke Neal, and Patrick Godfrey.

It concerns a church in a remote village in Devon.

In fact, it's signposted at the very beginning of the film.

Yeah, it is a good film.

Yeah.

And again, high praise for Gordon Kennedy, uh, as Deacon.

Yeah, he's excellent.

Britain thought it was going to be a big TV show.

So it was hosted originally by Gordon Kennedy, the Scottish comedian, and Anthea Turner.

They didn't obviously feel that was strong enough for the first episode.

So they brought in Noel Edmonds for one episode only because he was such a big star, he got to host the opening episode.
