If the research doesn't match what happens in your house, the research is just wrong about you, not the other way around, okay? So in 2007, three researchers at the University of Albany, Susan Hughes, Marissa Harrison, and Gordon Gallup, surveyed just over 1,000 college students about kissing, and a few things came out of this research.

It said men were more likely to treat kissing as a means to an end and as a way to move towards sex or to end a fight.

Women were more likely to use kissing to evaluate a partner and to keep track of where the relationship stood.
