Cate LuzioGUEST
37:12
I'm like, "Just take a screenshot and Google Lens it."
Shoshana HechtHOST

Cate LuzioGUEST

This week I noticed these dirt-like droppings in one small spot under my sunburst locust tree.
Keith FunkHOST
58:19
I loaded this picture into Google Lens, and it suggests that it's either a bug or a worm.
Keith FunkHOST
58:25
I've inspected the best I can.
Keith FunkHOST
58:27
Can't see anything.

If that person sends you a picture, screenshot it, take it to Google, and it will show up, and it will give you every red flag of who you're speaking to.
StaceyHOST
22:38
Yeah, Google Lens is a good, a good tool to use.
JennyGUEST
22:40
Yeah.
JennyGUEST
22:41
It was only for the guy in IT taking every single picture off WhatsApp and moving it to Google, and every single account came up, and it all said, "Fake account.
RachelHOST
1:24
And I went to, I went thrifting two weekends ago.
RachelHOST
1:31
and i had so much fun uh me and my friend juliana who used to work at the bookstore went and we there's a strip of like i would say 30 thrift stores between where i live and like uh about an hour north of me like there's just a corridor of thrift stores oh um so we were gonna go to a bunch we ended up only going two places because we spent so much time yeah so the first place was really cool and it was just like a typical kind of thrift store but they have like everything was really nicely organized and like nicely selected like it wasn't just like a goodwill where people just like basically give their junk to goodwill and they just like throw it on a shelf yeah like it was like organized by type and like all the puzzles were together all the fabrics were it was just nice um so i found their um a little trinket like i got a little monterey california mug because it had a little otter on it and i got this little i love otters i got this little um apparently it's a toothpick cup i didn't know what it was what Until we did, like, Google Lens and we, like, figured out, like, based on other listings, like, what brand and what it was.
RachelHOST
2:51
But it's just this little, like, tiny...
RachelHOST
2:53
It looks like almost the size of a shot glass.
Julian ChokkattuGUEST
49:07
sorry and no I mean it's such a hard thing to talk about because AI is so like almost weaponized right now where if you're for it you're against it or whatever and I think there's I think there's a lot of nuances in there that you can enjoy some aspects of it you know a lot of this is just machine learning that we've all accepted and fine been fine with but now There's so much other baggage attached to it that it makes it harder to talk about.
Julian ChokkattuGUEST
49:32
But like, you know, there are things like, for example, one feature that I think so many people use that maybe a lot of people don't even realize it's AI is like things like visual intelligence or like Google Lens.
Julian ChokkattuGUEST
49:43
You know, that's everyone like my parents use it.
Julian ChokkattuGUEST
49:45
My sister uses it like people who don't typically do, you know, the new things in tech.
OrlandoHOST
55:36
So you got to find that go between, but I'm really excited about just going through my toes.
OrlandoHOST
55:41
I've mentioned this before, but Again, now with the capability of research that I can do via AI, that I can do via just even Google Lens.
OrlandoHOST
55:51
Even Google Lens is better than it was, I would say, six months ago.
OrlandoHOST
55:54
It's crazy.
OrlandoHOST
55:55
And using Vendit, I'm just excited about getting that done.
Mr. JonesHOST
48:12
Yeah.
Mr. JonesHOST
48:12
Boy, I'm telling you what, using Google Lens on a French menu.
Mr. JonesHOST
48:16
Oh, very cool.
Mr. JonesHOST
48:17
It
Joey BraccinoHOST
5:03
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Aaron AmosHOST
5:04
Google Lens.
Joey BraccinoHOST
5:04
Reverse image.
Aaron AmosHOST
5:05
Yes.
DesireeHOST
23:42
And the actual necklace change was vintage Avon.
DesireeHOST
23:47
but i wasn't quite sure about the pendant the pendant was beautiful and i'm probably going to throw up some pictures here the pendant was beautiful but it did look newer to me but the seller claimed that the necklace and the pendant were both vintage now the the necklace was vintage avon because it was marked as such and i could tell by looking at it that that's actually what it was but the pendant was something that you know made me question but because the price was right i was willing to take a chance and of course when i did receive the necklace i could clearly see that the pendant was not vintage even though she said it was you know maybe she didn't know maybe she thought it was maybe someone told her that the pendant was also vintage but with trusty Google lens I was able to find the exact same pendant and it was actually being sold as a hairpin it's the same exact design but the stone colors are a little bit different so again you want to do your due diligence and use the tools that you have accessible to you to make sure you're actually getting what you are paying for right so You don't want to look for something, because here's the thing, I know there are modern pieces made to look like they're vintage, and that's fine as long as you're selling them as such, or the seller is selling them, saying these are not vintage pieces, they're made to look vintage.
DesireeHOST
25:32
But you just have to be very careful.
DesireeHOST
25:34
And I know doing research sometimes is a pain.
DesireeHOST
25:50
And I'm not saying that's what you have to do all the time with every piece.
DesireeHOST
25:55
But if you have something that you think could be worth a decent amount, then you may want to spend the time to research it, okay, and use the tools that you have available.
DesireeHOST
26:04
Of course, Google Lens, you all know that I have Jewelry Bestie, or you can join my group, Jewelry Jumpstart, and you can post a picture in there and we will all chime in and help you figure it out.
DesireeHOST
26:16
But for the most part nowadays there's just there's too much information out there between google youtube um ai tools um facebook groups like i mentioned there's my group there's There's so many ways to get information about jewelry nowadays that, you know, you should not get scammed or ripped off or anything like that.
