to its cameras and taking good pictures I mean This actually, this does feel like a step up in having the actual hardware to support the Google Camera app versus using the GCam mod that ports it to other devices and using that device's hardware.

I actually do like what the Google Camera app does, what it offers, and what it brings to the table.

So for me, for my part after this test, definitely recommend it even recorded I took a couple of quick videos and I do like the visuals of what it does I just did the 4k 60fps around with the 8K recording yet, but the 4K 60fps videos came out nice.

But OnePlus actively broke working functionality across multiple OS versions.

Celso Azevedo, he maintains the big GCam port archive, stopped recommending OnePlus entirely in August 2023 over exactly this.

His words were artificial limitations, not bugs.

Limitations.

And the known list is what? OnePlus's own camera app? And maybe a few partners? On Oxygen OS 11, it was literally just Snapcam.

One string.

GCam ports exploited this by setting their package name to match, and for a while that worked.

Then, OnePlus patched it.
