... you gotta wear your college team stuff on Thursday because Friday we, we gotta, we gotta wear our, our station shirts, or Goodland or Colby shirts, or our, all that kinda stuff.

So that's right.

... out here, I mean, here in the West, they call it west of... [coughs] Excuse me, North Platte to Denver, North Platte to Cheyenne, um, Nebraska.

I mean, I, that, that's where, um, I manage four crop insurance offices out there, and one in Goodland, Kansas.

And, uh, yeah, like, the, the dry land corn is all but non-existent.

It's just not there.

[upbeat music] Now, I mentioned it, uh, right off the top of the show about the Goodland Cowgirl golf team capturing a GWAC championship yesterday down at Scott City.

It was actually a really great day for Goodland High School athletics in league play, 'cause not only did the soft- about, it's the, uh ...

I almost said the softball team.

We were not in Nebraska.

And then Ellie Everett and Brinley Zimmerman, the doubles team, finished third place, and so the Cowgirls secured their second straight conference championship in tennis.

So congratulations to Coach Holleran and to, uh, all the ladies there on the GWAC tennis team.

So a double dip yesterday, and one of those people that was a part of that down at Scott City, on the golf course at least, was, uh, Coach Connie Livengood, longtime head coach for the Goodland Cowgirl golf team.

I'm gonna give a shout-out to Ulysses Tiger running back Striker Berglund.

He is my first winner of the weekend.

Striker Berglund, uh, came to Goodland on Friday and, and there were people that knew that he was a really good player.

I think we all knew that he was a good player.

Uh, some things to get to in the regional sports calendar and what happened yesterday.

Uh, talked a little bit about Goodland Cowgirl volleyball and Colby Lady Eagle volleyball.

Each went 1-1 last night at the Goodland Quad.

Both teams swept Cimarron, but lost in straight sets to Holcomb.

Hoxie split in Phillipsburg.

You've got Decatur competing with the volleyball tournament.

A lot of area teams are going to that.

Uh, Quiner, Cheyenne, Weskan going to the Oakley tournament, and then you've got, uh, Goodland and Wheatland-Grenell playing in the Scott City tournament, uh, this weekend in high school volleyball.
