Gondor

There are, of course, quite a lot of links between the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings that are not clearly set out.

They were mostly written or sketched out, but cut due to light in the boat, such as Gandalf's exploratory journeys, his relationships with Aragorn and Gondor, all the movements of Gollum, until he took refuge in Moria, and so on.

I actually wrote in full an account of what really happened before Gandalf's visit to Bilbo and the subsequent unexpected party as seen by Gandalf himself.

It was to have come in during a looking back conversation in Minas Tirith, but it had to go.

Not that Boromir was asking it as a question, but if you ask the question, those people...

Gondorian legend, right, who have gone into Lothlorien and not come out again.

Um...

One thing that possibly happens to people in such circumstances is that they end up staying there for like a century.

Reading it for the first time.

But several of you have been talking about, like, Gondorian sort of, like, Connecting what several of you have in your comments been connecting what Boromir is saying about Lothlorien here to what Eomir is going to later say about Lothlorien.

I see a huge difference between those two things.

He is not saying like He doesn't call Galadriel a sorceress.

We get the Eucatastrophe, the white tree, the seven stars, a crown, and the stars flamed in the sunlight, for they were wrought of gems by Arwen, daughter of Elrond.

Thus came Aragorn, son of Arathorn, Elessar, Isildur's heir, out of the paths of the dead, born upon a wind from the sea to the kingdom of Gondor, and the mirth of the Rohirrim was a torrent of laughter and a flashing of swords.

Dol Amroth drives east, Éomer strides south.

And a steward theme.

I would think like a quick and dirty answer, and you would be able to come up with something much more sophisticated than this, would be like if there were a King of Gondor theme... which would presumably be a Numenorean, like a Numenor theme.

Because we have to kind of roll it way back, right? So we have our House of Hador, House of Beor, House of Haleth themes, which are going to come together to form a Numenor theme.

And then we're going to need a faithful and Kingsman version, faithful and Kingsman's versions of the Numenor theme.

And then the faithful theme is going to resolve into the Gondor theme down the road.

And then the King of Gondor theme, there would be, there would be a, there would be a King of Gondor theme, like the Elendil theme.

Um, And then the steward theme would be like a minor key version or something.

Maybe a second violin playing second fiddle.

Tyler returned and our heroes jumped into the magic chest, leaving its protection to YOLO and Tony Dum-Dum.

Will Wet Change survive their trip to Ankh-Morpork? And will Gondor still be standing when they get back? I doubt it.

Chapter One Amongst the primordial forces that sway the fate of beings this way and that, there are none more potent than indecision.
