Gomer

Ezekiel, chapter thirty-eight.

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

Put is Libya.

Gomer, that's Turkey.

Togarmah, that's Syria.

These are all key nations that are in the news almost, uh, every day, right? So, uh, the battle of Gog and Magog is, uh, is, you know, certainly taking shape.

God leads a massive coalition of nations against Israel.

Ezekiel names Persia, Cush, Put, Gomer, and Beth.

And there's a lot of references.

And why is Israel attacked here? The attack occurs in the future years against the land that has recovered from war.

This son was born two years after the flood, and Lud, and Aram.

Nineteen, the sons of Japheth, Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

These are the sons of Noah.

Twenty, and in the twenty-eighth jubilee, Noah began to enjoin upon his son's sons the ordinances and commandments and all the judgments that he knew, and he exhorted his sons to observe righteousness and to cover the shame of their flesh, and to bless their Creator, and honor father and mother, and love their neighbor, and guard their souls from fornication and uncleanness and all iniquity.

And Japheth also divided the land of his inheritance amongst his sons.

And the first portion came forth for Gomer to the east from the north side to the river Tina.

And in the north there came forth for Magog all the inner portions of the north until it reaches to the sea of Mi'at.

Adam, Seth, Enosh, Kenan, Mahalael, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Japheth, Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshach, and Tiras, and the sons of Gomer, Ashkenaz, and Dephath, and Togarmah, and the sons of Javan, Elisha, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim, the sons of Ham, Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan, And the sons of Cush, Seba, and Havila, and Samta, and Rama, and Samtaka, and the sons of Rama, Sheba, and Dedan.

And Cush begat Nimrod, he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, and Pathrusim, and Kazluhim, from whence came the Philistines.
