Or if you have more time, you can drive around the fjord, and that's a very scenic route with its own attractions along the way, like hiking to Glymur Waterfall and Hvamsvík geothermal baths, which are wonderful.

We just did that drive on my most recent trip, and the scenery is amazing.

But it does add about an hour or even a little bit more to your drive without stopping anywhere.
