So I, I, I understand the, the, uh, uh, the, uh, the lay of the land.

I know there's, there's, there's excellent shipyards in, in, in Bay Roberts and in Glovertown and then all, all throughout New-

I don't like foolishness, for lack of a better word, that I can't think of right now.

For example, if I were to drive out to visit my folks just past Terranova National Park in the Glovertown area, I wouldn't want to, if I needed a charge, to go to one that's not working or to go to one that I have to wait for any amount of time.

Like I like to be able to go where I want to go without waiting.

So that's just my feeling on it.

So there's no need to be saying, I need a hybrid just in case.

You're not going to need that gas component if you buy a battery electric vehicle and you're zooming around town or doing the odd trip out to CBS or wherever you want to go.

And if you do want to go to Glovertown, then you'll realize, you know, Clarenville Inn is a beautiful place to stop.

Tonight, we're going back to 1980.

Two boys from Glovertown, Dave Pike and Aubrey Sweetapple, better known simply as Dave and Aubrey.

Now, by 1980, they'd already spent about three years working Newfoundland's nightclub circuit, playing night after night and polishing their sound.

Now, they then decided to take a gamble, head into the studio and make an album without even having a record contract.

Now, according to Dave Pike, they never really expected to hear anything back, but they did.

RCA signed Dave and Aubrey, taking away much of the financial risk they'd assumed themselves in giving the album major label promotion.

Two Glovertown boys who'd been grinding it out all around Newfoundland suddenly had their first big break.
