Gloryhammer

And if there ever was a month of As the Story Grows that needed to be recapped, it was this October.

We have clips from interviews with Casval Wolfe of Vespera, Emin Richard from Unpeople, Kai and Drew from Shiloh, Chirion from Hippotractor, Ethan of Chained Saint, and Nilo from Insomnium, Inherited, Sozos from Glory Hammer, Tony from Defects, Marco of Temperance, Joey of Varsity, Helly of Ignea, Christine Young, Jeff and Katie from Blood of the Earth, Ivor, Go Forward in Flames, and Riku of Black Royal.

October was one hell of a month.

So many interviews, so many episodes, but I'm happy to have this recap episode because with so many episodes of the podcast, I'm sure it was easy to miss one or two conversations that happened along the way.

And then we were at Wacken, so that was so crazy, like a fever dream.

It was insane, but so cool.

glory hammer is such a more heavy band and i'm sure christopher is very hands-on and like the lyrics and the ideas how is that as a vocalist and and you've probably written some lyrics to join a band where somebody else might be spearheading the direction

Well, I would surprise you, but Chris didn't really write many lyrics on this one, on this upcoming album.

Yeah, that album's not out yet.

I've listened to the new Glory Hammer.

We can move on from that.

Yeah, I'm not really interested in that anymore.

Yeah.

That just starts to sound like a Gloryhammer song though.

[laughs]

Right?

And he's from Germany.

And he is the recording engineer for the first few Gloryhammer albums.

So when Gloryhammer were looking for a singer, both Lasse from, you know, like Glory Hammer's Recording Engineer and also Fernando, who is the bass player and one of the lead songwriters from Eardrum Thrones.

Both of them have ties to Glory Hammer and they kind of brought up that I was available and I could maybe substitute and at least do the UK tour that they had lined up.

And so Gloryhammer looked me up and it just seemed to be a good fit to them at the time.

And yeah, that's how it happened.

They just got two independent kind of references from people I just incidentally worked with, because the power metal community is not as big as the general metal community.

And of course he's busy touring with Aylstorm and doing all sorts of other wacky side projects.
