Global Wind Energy Council

The morning program opened with a call for stronger action towards green industrialization and the development of common user infrastructure.

Global Wind Energy Council Africa Director Juliana Cainga addressed delegates while Jimmy Irake of the Democratic Republic of Congo highlighted the link between strategic resources, trade, transport and multi-model logistics.

Green hydrogen was a key focus with experts from Namibia, the European Union, Germany and South Africa discussing policies, infrastructure, technology... and local manufacturing needed to support green industrial development.

The program also featured an update on agricultural development.

They're actually encouraging people, even if you have... one plot of land where you can put one turbine and then maybe in the area, different people putting up turbines and being able to produce and selling it as one, you know, with all of you having ownership in that particular project.
