And around this same time, you also got involved in the Global Underground series where you got to create a series of mixed CDs.

Was that the final piece in the puzzle in terms of establishing your name internationally?

It was kind of building through being a resident DJ at Renaissance.

I'd say when I moved over in 95, from 95 to 98, I'd say I was mainly DJing in the UK and there's a lot of clubs, in the 90s especially, there was a great time for clubbing in the UK and I was playing... every week, Fridays and Saturdays, sometimes two gigs in one night, just driving up and down the motorways.

And then I think the DJ circuit started to maybe explode more on the global scene and Global Underground was a big part of that.

And I was starting to DJ in countries around the world in the late 90s and I think through...

the kind of natural progression of the rise through my career.

Another new one there, forthcoming on the iconic Global Underground label.

That was Dean Monteiro and Jim Rideau, and it's called Holding On To Life.

And it had a kind of, we played it last week or the week before, a little Louis French kiss feel about it.

And when BK was on, you know, he was saying that back in those late nineties, early two thousands, it was cutting edge music.

But for some reason, it was just like the Global Underground.

I remember reading, in my view, in MixMag, it was some magazine, and the guy that was running the Global Underground CDs made some real dismissive comment about Hard House, but I'm like, Jesus Christ, two of the mixers were Tony DeVee, which is, you know, he was playing Hard House, and then, I don't know why it always had that sort of connotation, but But you're right.

You know, you do just get lost in it.
