So of the Ancient East, what's impressed you most?

Well, I've been fascinated by the, the, the tall towers, the stone towers.

So I went to Glendalough, where there's...

I think it's called Monastic City.

Its great rival was Kildare, which had Bridget, and the two of them spent centuries producing documents explaining why their saint outranked the other.

Then you had other power centres in Clonmacnoise, Glendalough and Iona.

Iona is an interesting one because it's a tiny island in the inner Hebrides off the coast of Mull, so basically in Scotland.

And yet it was very much considered Irish.

Did he fall? No, he didn't fall to his death.

He pushed women off the cliff who pursued him in Glendalough.

So I'm not so sure if he should be fondly remembered.

So you've been to places like Glendalough and down to, yeah, it's such a wonderful place.
