And while I was over in Scotland at the, uh, hall of fame over at the castle, over at Damien's castle, Joanna had, uh, she, she had touched base with some folks and I, they had said, "Is there anything else you wanna do while you're over here?" 'Cause that's down in Speyside.

And I was like, I said, you know, I said, "I have always been fascinated with the Glencairn glass," because this is the one that we traditionally see.

And we were talking, you know, we had been talking about bourbon, and I was noticing that you've got one of the, kinda the designs there where it's at, it's called the fluted design now.

And when we were talking about what they were doing, they said one of the things they'd noticed was the proof keeps going up and up and up.

And this narrow chimney on a traditional Glencairn glass, uh, it can be very overwhelming to the nose just because you can do that with one of those, you know, hazmat ones.

And you go to nose it like that, and you can actually feel it burning the hairs-

I will say these glasses, which are Glencairn's, for some reason they're not the best for me for sniffing.

I think it's because of how it narrows it.

resurrect another classic bourbon a classic brown foreman trademark with this distinctive offering curated by his protégés okay so there you go that sucked but there's not a lot of light and my flashlights burned out so that was kind of crazy so One of the cool things when you go there, you get, this year was a full Glencairn.

That's the first time it's been a full Glencairn, I believe.

Obviously, you don't want to judge the color of a bourbon in the bottle, especially not these beautiful bottles that the McBrayers put together.

You want to put it in a glass, a Glencairn or another clear glass, and look at it in the bright light.

Oh, and...

Before I go any further, and I know this is kind of a quick tasting today, but sometimes I got it.

And I always say this, guys, the color can sometimes give you, it can give you a heads up or a clue about what you're about to receive in your mouth.

I mean, it's not always true, but I found it really is a thing in many tastings.

pour it into a Glencairn or Rocks glass or whatever you like, drink it out of something that's clear and evaluate it that way.

For me, like I said, number one, maybe a half a shade darker.
