Glen Huntly Road

This is an example of my ego hurting me.

Like, the other day, I'm in a cafe in well, Glenhuntly Road, whatever, and there's a, a pretty blonde woman behind the counter and, uh, she's got an Irish accent, but anyway, whatever, good on her.

And, um, and then, uh, she's asked me what I want, and I say, "A soy latte, which you got me before," which is that.

But, um, and she goes, "And your name isn't it hurt?" You know.

At the time of his enlistment he was a surveyor's assistant who had been apprenticed to E.P. Muntz of Melbourne.

At the time of his enlistment he was living at Riverside, Greensborough, his grandfather's home and he listed his next of kin as his mother, Alice Matilda White of Glenhuntly Road, Elsternwick.

After training he embarked on the HMAT Border on the 20th of October 1916 and landed in Plymouth on the 9th of January 1917.

He was sent to France on the 9th of August 1917 and was taken on strength in the Fourth Division Ammunition Column as a gunner.
