Glee club

Her sweet voice was enough to cheer any sufferer who loves music as I do.

One Sabbath afternoon, the Presbyterian choir came and sang for me, and almost every Saturday night the Glee Club or others would sing at my window.

I remember one night Professor Harper's Glee Club came after eleven o'clock.

I was very weak after a day of intense suffering and was just getting into a doze.

For a while, as I heard the music, I wondered whether I was in earth or in heaven.

All nature seems to rejoice.

Even the little birds are singing sweetly, reminding me that our blessings should call forth songs of praise.

Professor Harper's Glee Club serenaded me last night.

Okay.

So written by Golden Trio, directed by Paris Barclay, the official recap, the Glee Club members are saying goodbye to each other when two old guests come and attempt to save the Glee Club.

So you've been waiting, I would say, for it feels like years for Holly Holiday to come back.

At least a season or two.

Sure.

It is revealed that April and Holly have a Facebook page for all the guests of the Glee Club, which I think was like a bit of a joke because of how much how they have like crazy guest stars on Glee and stuff like that.

Mm hmm.

You might have heard of it.

It's called Key Club, not Glee Club, Key Club.

Basically, it's Kiwanis Club for high school.

We were basically geared towards community service.

And his whole plot line when he was on Glee was that he was a dancer who couldn't sing.

So was he going to be in the Glee Club or not? Yes, he was.

And he danced his whole way through that series back a couple decades ago.

And then, of course, he danced his way through last night as well, just blowing everybody away with his moves.

It's one of one.

Like a, Like a Prayer is amazing, but having an end of episode number where the whole Glee club sings and it's a big, brassy number happens 15 episodes out of 22 per season.

Yeah.

So yes, I voted for Blame It on the Alcohol.

Yes.

And every person of every race, of every creed, of every religion [laughs] can throw ass to Thriller.

And watching this episode, I mean, watching this video, I was like, people complain about this all the time, and I'm kinda eye-rolly about it, but it is true, if the Glee club at, at any high school performed Thriller in these costumes at this caliber for the school, immediate popularity.

Yeah.

At some point in middle school, my dad gets caught smoking on the train tracks.

And somehow as a punishment, they send him to the Glee Club and he was okay with that.

Because he knew that the Glee Club traveled, and he had never been out of state for sure, maybe not even out of the county.

So...

He auditions, and I remember hearing him tell the story where his teachers listens to him singing Cab Calloway's, yes, I heard, yes, I heard.

And I think it's nice that they're coming because when you think about it.

Yeah, Mr. Shu obviously was the director of the Glee Club, but he was in Washington for most of last season.

And that was them getting ready for sectionals and regionals, the two competitions that would lead them to nationals.

So really, this is like... finn who brought them here and so they want to make sure that they win nationals for finn and even like burn carol say like finn would tell you guys to get out there and beat them and mr shoe was like oh guys if we don't win it's okay and and then carol was like mr shoe that's stupid like finn would want you guys to crush them so let's crush them uh and then they jump into i love la eh okay

Apparently she won their national championship.

So the cheers get to stay.

But once again, we're reminded Sue did say when she became permanent principal, both of you guys need to win the national championships if you want to remain a club at this school and i i really like the scene between sue and will because it's once again showing sue's humanity and showing how she really does want glee club to stay because you know will is like why are you doing this you know we we tried our hardest kids tried their hardest can't you give us another year and sue sue lists out she lists out all the clubs and she even says to quote figgins my hands are tied and she really means it she lists out all the clubs at the school that won the national championship and all those clubs are staying but she lists out four other clubs that are getting cut so it's not just the glee club getting cut because she has some sort of vendetta it's just budget reasons

And then we both auditioned for a summer program in Lake Junaluska, which is like about 30 minutes from Asheville, North Carolina.

And we sang in another kind of ensemble situation where we were singing all kinds of Americana songs and Broadway tunes and very much like a Glee Club kind of thing.

Yeah.

And so we spent every summer together, too, which was incredible.

And the guy who ran the music department was named Richard Monaco, and he was also a trombone player.

And we did several chamber concert things with Their concert band, the Combined Miami University, the Glee Club, or whatever they call it, the choir from Western College, and we did, what was it called? Something, Winter something.

It's a God rest ye merry gentlemen, the way the modern jazz quartet would do it, with orchestra behind.

It was beautiful, you know.
