She feels like she's in survival mode, and seeing these pictures really brings back for her all these really difficult memories, that things were really tough.

And, you know, then there's, like, a picture of them that looks completely like it's from Glamour Shots or JCPenney's back in the [laughs] day, when they're fully AUB'd up, and they called it polyg.

They're, like, polyg'd up, and they look completely polygamy, like, AUB.

They look cult-like, okay? That's what they do.

So fuck him.

Professional glamour photography is not telling your subject, who more often than not is a woman, it is not telling a woman that she needs to show more skin.

It's not telling her that she needs to be sexier and it's sure as hell not telling her that she just needs to smile more.

When we think about professional glamour production and what I taught a lot over the course of This class was how to direct, how to evoke expression, what, what we're looking for in body language, how to style, how to light, how to compose, what the implications are that we are creating with these images, how to properly collaborate with professional talent on a professional set, and most importantly, the thing that, uh, trumps everything is we talked about consent, which is paramount in this field of work.

That doesn't bother me.

I will shoot sexier work.
