It has happened in other countries.

It is part of the whole global Gitex company.

There's a lot of technical details of how this event came, but we are here at Smashy Business.

I have a very interesting person with me to start off the show.

Uh, we've been in the World Engineering Forum.

We're gonna be at GITEX.

Uh, we're gonna be at the Gartner, uh, AI Infrastructure Summit.

Uh, and that's typically, uh, the group manifests as a, uh, uh, usually a booth presence of some kind-

We have, you know, ones like, uh, Icons of Porsche, which is a big automo- motor festival that MCH Global delivers.

We also have then moved events like GITEX, uh, ISEA for Dubai Culture is a big international symposium that's now moved to this, uh, to November as well.

Um, and then as well, brands are vying for slots and opportunities to get in front of their consumers and activate in the market as well.

So all of this is having a, a kind of effect where there's a lot of pressure on venues, suppliers, materials and providers like ourselves.

What kind of money, uh, is a company, is a regular kind of SME mid-sized company spending on appearing at a big conference, for example, for having a stall there, for having-

Yeah.

Um, I, I think it depends on the size of that IP, the size of that event and what they're trying to achieve, right? So some of the big brands turning up at the major conferencing opportunities or exhibitions like GITEX, their spend and scale could be anything, you know, from 500,000 all the way up.

You know, there, there's a huge ceiling there that they can reach.

You know, it's now home to more than 4,000 businesses with residents moving in, you know, and there's also huge events now, um, relocating there for, for the event space that happens.

You know, GITEX, for example, will be relocating there this year.

Uh, let's hear now from Ahmed Al Khateeb.

He is chief development and delivery officer at Expo City Dubai.

I mean, it's a city in itself with so many amazing, um, facilities.

We know that lots of exhibitions have already relocated to Dubai Exhibition Center, which is based at Expo.

Um, GITEX is relocating there t- in December this year.

And I wonder, you know, what does landing a show of that size say how far the area has become? Here's Ahmed's response.
