Gilmour Academy

It's gonna be a very long night [clears throat] excuse me, for you if that happens, and we mentioned, uh, Bork, uh, three aces.

She had a, a big game, a big serving game, uh, against, uh, Gilmour Academy the match that I did on Saturday on K96, and I wanna go back to that real quick while we got a second here.

That was so impressive.

Uh, when you looked at that match on paper against Gilmour Academy, you thought, "Well, maybe Gilmour has the slight edge in that one," or, "Maybe we'll see a four or five setter in that one." No, we saw Huron win in three sets in dominant fashion.

So definitely a big, uh, feather in the cap here for the Lady Tigers this season.

And, uh, you talked about Bork having a big night against, uh, Gilmour Academy.

She's not even in the top two though for aces this season.

Adelyn Vansickle leads with 27 so far, and Reese Hotz with 23.

Yeah.

right yeah we've Angela was in Gilmore Academy a couple weeks ago and I

grew up maybe like 10 minutes from there so yes

yeah

funny it's

all world

yeah look up Gilmore Academy folks and check out the tuition for that place it's it is not cheap so as we dive and we're going to get to get to your beyond-the-boards travel and what you do.

But first, I think it's probably a good opportunity moment for us to talk about what goes into a tournament weekend.

as well but again that's that junior class they've played a lot coming up through the system they're all multi-sport athletes as well and it i'm just excited to have some huron volleyball on k96 we were already had volleyball coverage on our sister station 92.9 wlkr classic and uh k96 city of license is huron so it only made sense to start carrying a little bit of volleyball we got a chance to dip our toe into it last year at edison high school when they did the fundraiser in cammy moon's name and it it went well so now we'll have a a couple more broadcasts of here on coming up and hopefully some tournament action down the road as well

yes expect this team definitely to make some noise when it comes to the postseason our next here on volleyball broadcast will also be at two o'clock on a saturday afternoon against gilmore academy it's a As Coach Wood this morning talked to me on the locker room, he said part of their academy tours.

They're taking on a lot of these private school academies.

Yeah, like I said, he's always scheduled a very tough non-conference schedule.

On your country, K96.

If you're really into volleyball, folks, we have these Huron matches on Saturday afternoons.

The next one will be September 26th against Gilmore Academy.

But 92.9 WLKR Classic has one every week.

He played 61 games already.

for Gilmore Academy in 2024-25 in the USHS prep circuit.

That's comical.

That can't possibly be right.

And Green, 42-14 over North Olmstead.

Gilmore Academy, the Lancers, got a 26-21 win against the Hawks.

And Hubbard got a 47-29 win against Warren JFK.

St. Ed's, the Fighting Eagles, got a 48-21 win against Huber Heights.
