In February, 18-month-old Vincent Fiordolino nearly drowned in the family pool.

Shortly after he arrived at the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, a doctor declared him dead in spite of the fact that the family thought he was still breathing.

His mother, Alexis Fiordolino, says she can't understand the mistake.

He had to fight for his life on his own.

Yeah, I mean, there's times, there's been days that we literally have driven up to Mojave County, done something in Kingman, and driven over to Show Low to do another event, and then back to Gilbert that night.

It's an incredible, and what's the diversity of what you just described when you are in Gilbert or then from even across the valley from Gilbert to Glendale, the diversity of what the needs are, what the concerns are, are there similarities across the board? I remember you saying that water has been a very big issue with people.

Is that still a big issue with all the rain we're getting? It's gotta be the flooding as well, but are you seeing people across the state with the same issues?

Yeah, they're talking about water.

When you have an opportunity to explain to people solutions from your perspective, what are some of the key points you want people to know about what the solutions are from you? Pick an issue.

This specifically is, I think, what needs to change day one.

Yeah, I was serving at SoCal Tacos in Gilbert, and one of the patrons there that I kept serving, she's a Democrat, and she kept asking me questions.

The study found Arizona water bills went up by an average of 60 percent in the past decade.

The town of Gilbert had the biggest rate of increase and the highest water bills.
