Gil Shaham

[laughs] So this is our first movie music offering [laughs] of this Monday afternoon.

Uh, actually it kinda mashed up two motion pictures, but I think these two pieces work together really well, and violinist Gil Shaham and pianist Jonathan Feldman do just a bang-up, monster mash job.

With Halloween just around the corner, we heard a Transylvanian Lullaby from Young Frankenstein.

So I'm glad that worked out.

And also on that album is Fratris for cello and piano, which is a piece that I grew up knowing and hearing Gil Shaham's recording with the orchestra.

And I thought, oh, that might sound really great on cello.

And there is a version for cello and piano.
