Gil Moore

Paratroopers everywhere, can't you see? Strategic weapons are something we don't need

Okay, so we are celebrating the great Gil Moore here.

You know, Gil in Triumph, super important person.

Number one, it's a trio.

Like, you know, uh, what is that- Like, would you rather have people-- Like you mentioned Metalworks.

Gil Moore is a great example of someone who knows what he wants from a technology standpoint and sound and lighting and vi-visuals and stuff.

He knows what he wants because, you know, he's been sort of in charge of that with Triumph for 50 years now.

Mm-hmm.

it was great.

Gil didn't do all the drumming.

I don't know how loud his mic, his drums were mic'd up.

And, and, and, you know, Rick, the, the songs were tuned down quite a bit because w- Rick sang in these ridiculously high keys, right, back in the '70s-

Right

... and '80s.

But I still got to see Rick Emmett and Gil Moore on stage.

And if you can't do all the songs, do some of them.

It's gonna be a Wednesday night, December the 3rd.

Now, I talked to Gil Moore the other day, my old buddy Gil Moore from Triumph.

And, you know, they were instrumental in, in cultivating a lot of talent up there.

But, uh, you guys getting together, man, that must be just a blast.

I'm young now, I'm wild, and I'm free.

That was Gil Moore singing for the band Triumph.

He also plays their drums.

Gil, 73 today.
