The reason ultimately that I think we have the concerns about Amendment 4 is it leads or will lead inexorably towards something akin to a full time legislature in New Mexico, which is the last thing we need.

Some of you may be familiar with the quote, no man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session, often attributed to Mark Twain, not a Mark Twain quote, Gideon John Tucker, who I'm not necessarily familiar with, but he was very quotable on that.

So we were looking at what New Mexico's, because we did the regional comparison.

Of course, all the areas, the states around us have part-time legislatures.
