Gideon Gash

He's gonna be a beast in the '28s.

Uh, Gideon Gash.

Yeah.

The athlete out of Michigan is pulling up.

It's like, man, slow down.

But it's gonna be full of '28s, couple '29 and '30s.

But your big name to keep your eyes out for is gonna be that Gideon Gash.

I know he loved seeing what this defense did in the, um, did in that, in that Texas game.

So, um, I, I do-

And then Gideon Gash, uh, setting an official, the Texas Tech commitment that Parker went and saw when you guys went up to Michigan.

Yeah.

Uh, he came away from that thinking, "Okay, this guy's probably not getting, backing out of his commitment." But now he's taken an official to OU.

Does that mean anything?

I, I think it, it, it says that he's willing to take that step.

Like, "Okay, I, I'm at least gonna do that." Because there was a point in time when you'd kind of hear about Gideon Gash in Oklahoma, and it was more like, "You know, let's just keep this under wraps.

Let's keep this a little bit quiet." It, it didn't, it wasn't ready for everything.

And I don't know, man, I don't necessarily see Michael Fesusi as the magic wand that suddenly fixes everything on Oklahoma's offensive line, but I think it's gonna go a long way towards shoring up some of that unit's weaknesses.

Another question on the YouTube, "Is OU still working on Gideon Gash?"

Yeah, they're still working on Gideon Gash.

I just, I don't know what kind of expectations you can have there.

He's committed to Texas Tech.

We know how Texas Tech operates and the budget with which Texas Tech is functioning.

I'm not of the opinion that Oklahoma pulls it off right now with Gideon Gash.

If you gave me truth serum, you asked me to bet my life on where Gideon Gash signs, I'm betting on Texas Tech.

Now, the rumor is he might be back for the playoffs, right? Broke his collarbone, but they're suspecting they could have him back.

But, but Gideon Gash, [laughs] I don't know what else can be said about this kid that hasn't already been said Had two rushing touchdowns, a 50-yard sweep.

He had an interception.

He fueled that fourth quarter comeback.

Uh, and it might be revealed before that, 'cause, you know, s- the, you know, they're still recruiting that 2027 recruiting class.

Like, you know, can you go out and get, uh, a blue chip guy? Like, you know, like Gideon Gash was on the, on the radar for a while.

He's at Texas Tech now.

I'm sure Texas Tech has offered him a bunch of money.

Can you lure him back a little bit with maybe some of these funds that we're talking about here? If you can do that, I mean, Gideon Gash would be the best recruit to come to Michigan State in a couple, at least a couple of years.

So that would certainly set the tone, but really the big thing will be in the portal.

Can you get difference makers? Can you get true top flight, maybe not top flight s- uh, transfers, but those obvious power force starters in the transfer portal, guys who you know are going to be effective? 'Cause that, you really didn't have many players like that coming into the portal for Michigan State this, the, I mean, this past cycle.

I have a little bit of skepticism just because the 2027 recruiting class in football is rated so low.

Is really good.

So like all the best players are already off the board.

And so I don't think there will be a ton of movement for Oklahoma the rest of the way, unless they were to flip a guy like Gideon Gash.

If you can pull that off, then maybe you jump up, shoot, perhaps even into the top five, sneak into the back end of the top five there.

But I think it's probably more likely at this point that Oklahoma either finishes right where they are currently, seventh, or maybe they move up a spot to sixth, down a spot to eighth.

I watched one highlight, and there's a punt, and he catches it, and you hear a guy in the background go, what are they doing? Why? Why would you do that? And, of course, zig, zig, zig, zag, gone.
