The Great Beyond

yeah i compared the passing of patrick stewart to when stanley passed away yeah it hit really really hard i mean I'd literally only just messaged you to say this week, should we do Wrath of Khan? Yes.

The deep dive in memory of Walter Koenig, because that's the film that everyone says is the best of the classic Trek films.

And also it's the one where the characters became more than the bridge personalities and became people.

Yeah.

Nobody wanted to release it for a long time, but that seems to be doing really well over a limited release.

We didn't show it at Arplex.

So many films come out over recent weeks.

It was only on a limited release and we couldn't quite grab it for what the shows they wanted.

A big, big moment is going to be next year.

There's a movie called The Great Beyond.

Now, this is a movie that we just saw.

It's J.J. Abrams.

So Mr. J.J. Abrams had a movie.

His new movie is called The Great Beyond, which we saw a clip from CinemaCon.

It was coming out on November 13th, 2026.

Have you heard about it? Do you know why? Because it was delayed to October 1st, 2027.

J.J. Abrams coming back, too, with another sci-fi movie.

Well, yeah, he's directed all these major franchises like Star Wars and Star Trek, and now he has an original movie titled The Great Beyond.

It stars Glenn Powell, Jenner Tague, and Samuel L. Jackson, and it follows a fantasy writer who discovers that the world he created is actually real.

It's scheduled to reopen next October in about one year, October 1st, 2027.

Early test screens have really impressed the studio, so watch out for that one.

J.J. Abrams, Glenn Powell, Jenner Tague, and Samuel L. Jackson in...

The Great Beyond, which will be next October.

All right, let's feel old.

Uh, may not really matter long term because it's happening, and it's coming out no matter what, so Paramount's gonna have to market it.

Then we've got JJ Abrams' The Great Beyond, which is, was delayed one year from November to next October.

Yeah.

We've got our friend Sam Esmail's new movie starring Julia Roberts, Panic Carefully, which I'm really looking forward to.
