Ghostbusters

But right now, here's Ray Parker Jr [upbeat music]

[upbeat music]If there's something strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! If there's something weird and it don't look good, who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! [upbeat music] I ain't 'fraid of no ghost.

[upbeat music] I ain't 'fraid of no ghost.

[upbeat music] If you're seeing things running through your head, who can you call? Ghostbusters! An invisible man sleeping in your bed, oh, who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! [upbeat music] I ain't 'fraid of no ghost.

[upbeat music] Uh, I ain't 'fraid of no ghost.

[upbeat music] Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! If you're all alone, pick up the phone and call...

Ghostbusters! [upbeat music] I ain't 'fraid of no ghost.

[upbeat music] I hear he likes the girls.

But listen to it and y- you could sing it over, over top of...

It's like, uh, it's like I Want a New Drug and Ghostbusters-

Yes

... by Huey Lewis.

Right? Didn't Go- Didn't Huey Lewis s- sue Ray Parker Jr.?

Yes.

Because on Ghostbusters, you know, «Who you...

Dunna dunna dun dun.

Yeah.

You get Ghostbusters, you get Monster Mash.

Then there's something [laughs] they always put in, Somebody's Watching Me-

Yeah.

The No Ghost logo, the jumpsuits, proton packs, Ecto-1, and of course the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

And then there was Ray Parker Jr.'s Ghostbusters theme, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Lyle's already humming it.

I love it.

true.

It's structured the way a song is really supposed to be structured to be catchy.

So that's another thing as to why... uh plus it it combines a lot of the stuff that people like people like spooky stuff and ghosts there you go people are gonna like it it's fun it's um it's definitely a it's definitely a time period thing though i don't know if you'd be able to recreate a ghostbusters theme song well not really like ghostbusters any type of a spooky theme song i don't think it could be redone again

I did like a slight sidebar.

That is good.

This is not by the guy who did the Ghostbusters song.

Although I do sense a kind of similarity.

This is better in some ways.

You mean

Huey Lewis?

No, he didn't do Ghostbusters.

He did that Ghostbusters song.
