So what do you think about GFL?

Yeah, I think certainly with the trading around the stock and the movements for the stock in the last little while are reflective of the proposed acquisition and the take private for the company.

In headlines that move us to our area, the Eau Claire County Parks and Forests Committee is not moving forward with a proposed expansion of the 7-mile landfill.

GFL had proposed a 120-acre expansion that would have cut into the Eau Claire County forest land.

The committee rejected the proposal during their meeting yesterday, and the decision follows what you may have heard over public pushback when it comes to things like water pollution or losing access to public lands.

As we look to headlines from public health, officials are now confirming cases of measles in Jackson County.

Let's get some new top picks from Tim.

Stock has been rising.

Competing offers for the company.

Tell us a little bit more about why you like it.

We like it, you know, to borrow from a writer in the Globe, trash is cash.

So GFL has been a great roll-up business.

We had Factory Motor Parts.

We had GFL on the oil and recycling.

And then we had John, the Bomberita Automotive Group.

So we had those five partners that were in there.

It's good news for the luncher.

My good friend from GFL, who is a tried-and-true Wisco kid, man, and loves the Brewers, and he'll get to go to Tampa to see them.

That's the point.

You don't have to go all the way to the Great White North to check out the Fall Classic.

So the first one would be fixing the GFL problem.

I got to give credit to the community impacted by the GFL landfill and groups such as STAND for putting up a fight and holding the line and holding GFL accountable.

And I don't think it's right that they don't have the same ability to enjoy their property the same way the rest of Ward 9 does or matter of fact, the rest of the city.

I think the approach we've been taking to GFL isn't working.

You know, I'm glad GFL got fined, you know, what they did about last month, but a fine is just a receipt.

It's not relief.

I think one first thing I would fight for in the short term is delivering relief for the community with physical odor mitigation, such as trees, berms, vegetation, that kind of stuff.
