I can remember quite well the lengthy discussions that we had in our Westchester dormitory about the merits of the Stanford style of play and the many other variations of the T that were being introduced throughout the country.

Some years later, while I was coaching at Gettysburg College, Al assisted us with one of our spring practice sessions.

This was just about the time that he was making his move in the coaching profession.

We broke down all the blitz tendencies of defense coordinators in week one in the NFL and tried to explain, like, why is Brian Flores blitzing 80% of the time and Patrick Grant is blitzing 10% of the time? Tried to shine some light on their philosophies.

These guys just love each other.

I went to college with him.

He played basketball at Gettysburg.

I played on the football team.

But he has a company, his name is Nick Lord, called NoCap Sports, and that's exactly what they do, is they help really just maximize the amount of revenue that an athletic department can bring in.

Well, how does that translate down here? We just saw Guilford not play great at Transy.

It's a special place, and this is one of the most impactful coaches in all of division three basketball.

He completely turned around Gettysburg, and now he is the head coach of MIT men's basketball program.

Um, and then I was the head coach of Vassar College in New York for five years.

Um, and then I was the head coach at Gettysburg College for seven years.

And like you mentioned, um, I was really fortunate to be surrounded by some unbelievable players and incredible student athletes.

It flies by custom at Iwo Jima, by custom over

the Arizona at Pearl Harbor, by custom over a dormitory at Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

That dormitory was used as a hospital during the Civil War.

By custom, it's a pound square at Payoff, New Mexico, where Kip Carson climbed the flagpole and nailed a flag up there so nobody could take it down, even if they lost the twimmies.
