Getty Villa

museums here are incredible.

Not only do we have the Science Center, we have the Natural History Museum, we have the Tar Pits, which just closed for renovations, LACMA, the Broad, the Getty, and the Getty Villa.

There's just so many great institutions here.

I lived in Washington, D.C.

... private money.

Yeah, it's, uh, y- the state can sell it, uh, but also, uh, the, uh, Getty Mansion was given to the city of Los Angeles.

No, I'm not talking about that.

Gracie Mansion was given to the city of New York.

But Thursday was a day for us.

We went to the Getty Villa.

We had lunch at Shutters on the Beach.

We had dinner together.

Mm-hmm.

He lived right next to the, um, Getty Villa, the museum.

Mm-hmm.

Um, we would go to Palm Desert.

And it ain't particularly like... architecturally speaking, attractive.

It's no Getty Villa.

I'm sure it's lovely inside.

So I'm starting that on a negative note, but I will try to point out the beauty of all of the native plants otherwise.
