Y- you need to think more about, like, Gerry Cheevers, and when you say his name people immediately think, "Oh, two cups, greatest goaltender in Bruins history." Well, statistically no.

That would be Tuukka Rask in literally every facet of-

the franchise records.

But also in the literal sense that Rask played a lot like Hasek in terms of his career save percentage.

And Gerry Cheevers, on the other hand, played in an era where scoring was as rampant as it is now.

It is trending back towards that 1970s, 1980s scoring, which is going to skew goaltending numbers and make people think that, you know, a guy like Joey Daccord isn't a good goaltender simply because he plays for the Seattle Kraken.

This puck's coming all the way back.

Another thing with Butch, even though he was really known as a great playoff performer, even with the LA Kings, they had a first round series against the Boston Bruins and Butch scored a couple of winners in that series, one in overtime against Gerry Cheevers.

Oh.

That's the one thing, you know, social media, I'm not on it a lot, but you'll get these old hockey videos and highlights pop up from the 1970s that, you know, brings you, brings you back to your childhood remembering those times.

My childhood was a little earlier than yours [laughs] but still, it, it's great seeing some of those great highlights, Goring scoring on Gerry Cheevers.

Well, they got a little problem there as Ekman came across the line and, uh, it didn't look even enough for the officials.
