It was Juan Garcia in goal, a back four of Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, Gerard Martin, and Xavi Esparte.
BorsaBoy103HOST
0:46
Midfield three of Rodri, Pedri, and Fermin Lopez.
BorsaBoy103HOST

7 MINS LATER

BorsaBoy103HOST
7:39
But I think overall from Joan, I think he had a good game.
BorsaBoy103HOST
7:40
I'm gonna be giving him a 7 out of 10.
BorsaBoy103HOST
7:43
Uh, in the center partnership now, in front of him, firstly on the left-hand side, it was Gerard Martin, only played 45 minutes.
BorsaBoy103HOST
7:49
He did go off with a bit of a knock.
Peyton McCannHOST
16:02
And then just a few minutes later, oh my God, are we down 2-0? Galatasaray get a corner kick.
Peyton McCannHOST
16:09
It's sent into the far post where Victor Oseman heads it back towards the near post where the cross came from and Yilmaz tips it right before Gerard Martin can clear it off the line and it goes into the back of the net to make it 2-0.
Peyton McCannHOST
16:24
God damn, like I can't believe it.
Peyton McCannHOST
16:25
We're dominating this game and all of a sudden we're down 2-0 in a very difficult place to play.
BarcaBoy103HOST
19:41
It'll be quite difficult because he's, of course, rotating, uh, every few games a little bit of, you know, two or three players.
BarcaBoy103HOST
19:45
The question is really, where is he gonna make these rotations? I believe that Flick will go with this lineup on the screen right now with Joan Garcia in goal, a back four of Eric Garcia, Balcbarsi, Gerard Martin, and Xavi Espart.
BarcaBoy103HOST
19:58
Midfield three of Pedri, Rodri, and Fermin Lopez.
BarcaBoy103HOST
20:00
Front three, Lamine Yamal, Anthony Gordon, and Karim the Dream Adeyemi.
Dan HiltonHOST
8:00
An in-swinger this time from the Russian Bartrakov.
Dan HiltonHOST
8:04
Oseman won the first ball and Ilmas got on the end of the deflection with Gerard Martin getting the final touch.
Dan HiltonHOST
8:10
But Oseman got away from Kubarski and Ilmas is in the mix with Gerard Martin either way.
Dan HiltonHOST
8:15
The VAR checked whether it was onside, but it was slightly called for offside.
Dan HiltonHOST
8:19
Azilmez started offside, came back onside to get that final touch.
Alejandro MorenoPANELIST
29:59
Mm
Craig BurleyPANELIST
29:59
... a lot of clubs look at now and go, "Ah, we can't defend, can't do this." Uh, Gerard Martin gets a lot of game time.
Craig BurleyPANELIST
30:06
Probably wouldn't go... uh, get in half a dozen other clubs', uh, defenses in Spain.
Craig BurleyPANELIST
30:10
Uh, yet Hansi Flick and Barcelona find a way to make these players work into, to h- the way he wants to play, and that, I think, for any coach, is the most important part.
Dan HiltonGUEST
11:07
Where Galatasaray would have success, and where other teams have had success so far this season, is that of the seven goals Barcelona have conceded, five have come from open play, one has come from a set piece, and one has come from a counterattack.
Dan HiltonGUEST
11:20
Where, again, other teams can do well is when they force Barcelona's centre-backs, who I would expect are going to be Gerard Martin and Pablo Garcia for that Champions League match, when they force those centre-backs out on the wings to defend.
Dan HiltonGUEST
11:32
That quick diagonal that gets in behind whichever of the full-backs is high.
Dan HiltonGUEST
11:37
So if it's on the left side, if it's Xabi Espar or Cancelo, or on the other side, I would expect it's going to be Eric Garcia if he is fit, though he also picked up a knock in Spanish camp and came home.
Dan HiltonGUEST
11:47
So if it's Eric Garcia or Rasul's Koundé on one side on the right, or if it's Xavi Espar or Cancelo out on the left, when you're defending in a low block, like I think Galatasaray may do, and again, this is like, again, the permutation here that I want to talk about.
Dan HiltonGUEST
12:02
If Galatasaray do defend in that low block, when Barcelona fail to, to get that jump on that second ball, whether it's in the midfield or whether it's out on the wings, if Galatasaray can deliver an accurate and good ball up to space to, I know, the wingers that you have that have a bit of speed.
Dan HiltonGUEST
12:23
If you can get them the ball in stride, that will force Barcelona, again, with that switch, to then have to defend Gerard Martin out near the sideline or Pogba Bursi on the sideline.
Dan HiltonGUEST
12:33
Kubarski has been phenomenal.
Peyton McCannHOST
5:21
We had Jawan Garcia starting in goal left, right across the back line.
Peyton McCannHOST
5:24
We had Javier Spart starting at left back with Gerard Martine and Eric Garcia starting together at CB.
Peyton McCannHOST
5:31
Good to see Kubarsi getting a break after a lengthy international trip where he featured almost constantly for Spain.
Peyton McCannHOST
5:38
Jules Koundé getting the start at right back.
BarcaBoy103HOST
0:49
It was Joan Garcia in goal.
BarcaBoy103HOST
0:51
A back four of Eric Garcia, Balde, Gerard Martin, and Joao Cancelo.
BarcaBoy103HOST
0:55
Midfield, three, of Pedri, Rodri, and Fermin Lopez.
BarcaBoy103HOST
0:58
Front three of Lamine Yamal, Anthony Gordon, and Dani Olmo starting in the false nine.

8 MINS LATER

BarcaBoy103HOST
9:05
I think Joan Garcia in the second half was sensational.
BarcaBoy103HOST
9:07
I think you look at his job in between the sticks, he had two shots at him.
BarcaBoy103HOST
9:11
One was deflected off Cancelo, one was deflected off Gerard Martin.
BarcaBoy103HOST
9:15
Nothing really much he can do about it, but I thought apart from that, his performance was fantastic, and I wanna give credit where it's due for the ability to come off his line in the second half on Osimhen, I think on Sané down the left-hand side as well, late on in the second half.
Rik SharmaHOST
11:29
For sure.
Rik SharmaHOST
11:29
Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't say Barca's squad on paper is a massively strong squad, but when the system plays a big role... and the players have the right technical quality and the right mentality, which Flick's instilled in them, in terms of being able to play in the way he wants them to play, then suddenly you have a bunch of players that on paper aren't players you think, oh, no one would say, oh, Gerard Martin is a better player than, I don't know, just for example, Antonio Rudiger or Konate or... hoisin or whoever you want from madrid's defense but for what flick wants and for the job that he's asked martin to do and martin's been able to do suddenly flicks turned a bunch of players that aren't players you think are top quality players into just perfect pieces for his system great coaching
Sam MarsdenHOST
12:09
by the way gerard martin 100 barcelona appearances who would have thought that
Rik SharmaHOST
12:12
yeah oh yeah i saw that and i was like wow i'm sure on his i might even go back and find when he made his debut and listen to what he said about him on that on that episode but i'm sure it wouldn't have been overly complimentary
Sam MarsdenHOST
12:23
It's crazy how quick players can rack up these performances these days.
Sam MarsdenHOST
12:31
This is his third season, I guess, with the first team.
Sam MarsdenHOST
12:34
Incredible amount of games already played.
Rik SharmaHOST
12:36
Yeah, fair play to Gerard Martin.
BorsaBoy103HOST
14:40
and Kareem the Dream Adeyemi.
BorsaBoy103HOST
14:42
So in the defense, I think he will drop out Gerard Martin for Koubarsy.
BorsaBoy103HOST
14:46
With the limited options at center back, I think he will actually keep Eric Garcia at center back, especially with Koundé doing so well this past weekend at right back.
BorsaBoy103HOST
14:52
I think he wants to keep him in that place.
