Hey folks, welcome back to episode two of the 750 podcast, which is going to bring you a second recording from our Alberta Independence Workshop, co-hosted with Professor Theo Snagovski in May, 2026.

So last time out, you might remember, we heard from Chantal Lebert, who offered some really thought-provoking reflections on Alberta independence and on how things might unfold as we move towards and beyond the referendum in October.

This time out, by contrast, we're going to hone in on the politics of the independence movement.

And we're going to do this through a panel discussion featuring Professors Theo Snagovski, Lisa Young and Rob Currie-Woods, all of whom are experts on Alberta politics generally and the independence movement in particular.

The next voice you hear after the break will be Professor Gerard Kennedy, who moderated the panel, and he'll provide a slightly more comprehensive intro to our three panellists.
