... yeah, you don't, you don't trade him because if Joel Hofer gets hurt, you don't want Georgi Romanov be your starting goaltender in the NHL playoffs.

Oh, I wasn't implying that y- we would trade him at the deadline.

A little bit of news to pass along.

This comes from Luke Horak of NHL.com. Callie Rosen and Georgie Romanov have both cleared waivers.

It sounds as though they will indeed be assigned to Springfield as expected.

So the Blues do not lose any of their guys that they placed through waivers.

But again, I don't know for sure, right? This is something that it's just my opinion, but I do feel as if there is kind of that foggy gray area of being able to sway between both sides.

And if Jordan Bennington gets traded, let's go say at the deadline or a little bit before the deadline, right? you have a really good young talent in Georgie Romanov.

And I know that he didn't play the full games Saturday and Monday.

I know that he kind of came in late.

Joel Hofer started for St. Louis, made 17 stops through the first two periods.

before being replaced by Georgie Romanov, who allowed one goal on nine shots in the third.

As well for St. Louis, Mason McTavish makes his debut for the Blues after being picked up in that trade in late June for the first round picks that they gave up St. Louis to get Mason McTavish in.

And for McTavish last night, three shots on goal and just shy of 15 minutes of ice time.

Yonatan Bergeron signed a one-year contract extension, as well as a couple other players all signed one-year deals.

Oscar Sundquist, Zach Dean, Dylan Peterson, Georgie Romanov, the goaltender, Dylan Dubé, all signed one-year deals.

And some assistant coach changes as well.

Greg Cronin, Vinny Prospol, and Jeremy Koopal, video coach, We're all brought in as well as who is left.

Yeah.

You run into Georgi Romanov, you're gonna die.

Yeah, he stood on his head.

Uh, how, what are your thoughts on Romanov? I mean, he's going to be spending 99% of his time, uh, with Springfield this year.

Uh, but the reality is Binnington was almost two goals below expected for every 100 shots.

And Georgie Romanov, speaking of the San Jose Sharks, who pencils in as their number three, is a reclamation project From the Sharks who has not had much success at the highest level and has a bit of a limited resume.

Now, the other thing there is that Will Cranley's had success, but more time in the ECHL than the AHL the last three years, and they lost their excellent development coach, um, to the New Jersey Devils as part of the off-season sort of changes and, and, and hirings in Dan Stewart.

So, um, even with Holfer already playing more than Binnington last year and finishing top 30 adjusted numbers, and even if we assume a Binnington bounce back after two straight down seasons, we saw what he's capable of at the Olympics, it's hard to grade this any higher because Binnington's drop-off was just so significant last year, as I said, down to two goals almost every 100 shots below league average.
