George Whitby

Again, everyone just thought it was down and out, but to have the spirit to come back in that game...

Again, another half-back, Super League half-back, George Whitby, for him to really get to grips with the game, a rugby league match, and take it by the scruff of the neck.

Really took charge in that second half and really helped us with Brad to get us over the line that game.

Yeah, the Unslet game, I probably learnt the most I've learnt as a coach, to be honest, the Unslet game in terms of You know, you can plan preparation and stuff like that and plan a game and review a game and preview the opposition, etc.

So, again, just key moments in games, really, that the game just got took away from us.

But, again, it was a challenging period, that one, really.

You mentioned George Whitby before.

I think he's done for the season, isn't he? What's he done?

That's an interesting

question, isn't it? Because now that George Whitby is injured until halfway through next season, we do need a halfback.

So will we keep him on for another year? to fill that gap, or will

we look elsewhere? He's a guy that's going to have offers.

If somebody comes back and says, oh, come and have a million-dollar contract here.

Yeah.

but what happens to Whitby in that circumstance I think George Whitby at the minute he would leave wouldn't he he doesn't know he's

got a four year deal he'll sit and learn I don't think George

Yeah, and then the Winger from Cass was playing as well.

I would, I would put good money on him ending up at one of those clubs.

My only thing I'd say about Saints is, I know he's ACL at the moment, why invest in 23-year-old Jake Arthur over 18, 19-year-old George Whitby?

Whitby's done his ACL and he's gonna miss, what? He'll be out till May, June?
