Man, there has to be a lot of suspicion cast on those two.

He said, I did see that he died, but I forgot about it.

A coincidence because George Takei was in town for a convention over the weekend.

And I said, his son is also boner.

Nobody could figure out how that happened.

I think Sulu's still alive, right?

Yes, George Takei is still alive.

Shatner? He's like 95 and as healthy as ever.

Yeah.

I was like, I was drawing a blank on his name.

After a long and successful life, Star Trek legend Walter Koenig has just peacefully crossed over in his North Hollywood home at the tender age of 90.

While perhaps best known for his popular role as the hit show's Russian navigator Pavel Chekhov, Koenig's legacy extends far beyond the silver screen, and fellow actor George Takei sums it up best when he says that his Enterprise sidekick was also a writer, a teacher, and a loyal friend as well.

I've never seen a single episode of that program, Star Trek, but everyone knows all the big stars in that program, including William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and of course, Walter Koenig.

Fine actor, great family man, loved by all, and he's even got his very own doppelganger.

But he had no anger or embarrassment about the fact that Star Trek was the reference point for him all the time.

And the fact that he's died is significant, because as you say, John, there's only two left now, and that's William Shatner and George Takei.

And because Star Trek is such a seminal TV show, I mean, arguably, you would say it is the most successful franchise of all times, because it covers both TV and it covers movies.

And of course, it was all those various sort of branches of Star Trek that have come and gone over the decades.

And he was 90.

And George Takei, who was Sulu, put out a lovely post of him and Walter on what I guess was his 90th birthday just a few weeks ago.

And anyway, but the reason Star Trek was in my head, somebody put out, I mean, a brilliant – did I repost that? If I didn't, I will – A brilliant two minute little mini clip of the original series, Star Trek Enterprise, the crew, you know, Kirk and Spock and Bones of finding some alien life.

And it's Kamala Harris.

But yeah, they're almost all gone.

The only ones left are William Shatner and George Takei.

And I have been lucky enough to meet both of them.

And in fact, they're the only Star Trek original cast members I met years ago.

And because he was friends, he's friends with Larry.

He's just as cool as you want him to be.
